Rowley Railway Maintenance Facility

INDUSTRIAL PROJECT

This project for Fortescue Metals Group is a wagon maintenance facility for FMG’s rolling stock. Completed in 2013, it was managed by Parsons Brinkerhoff in Perth and is located in Port Hedland in Western Australia.

Ashburner Francis designed internal electrical, communications and HVAC systems for the facility with a particular focus on building system solutions suitable for the local climate, and a design resulting in a robust building for this remote location.
