Ashburner Francis designed the building services for this sports and recreation facility on Brisbane’s north side in 2020 in a $6.5 million recreation expansion program planned by the State Development Department of the Queensland Government.

As the site was located in a sensitive fauna area, Ashburner Francis implemented several innovative solutions to limit the impact of artificial light on the wildlife. For our innovation and effort, we won an award of commendation at the 2020 IES Lighting Design Awards.
